Was wondering about your thoughts concerning Brightspeed Fiber Internet service.
The horse is kinda out of the barn already though. I just signed up for Brightspeed Fiber Internet today. I also added digital voice for home phone service and will keep my same home phone number. Installation tech will be out the afternoon of Dec 3rd for install.
Brightspeed had sent a promotional offer of first 3mos of Fiber Internet FREE. So I'm ditching Spectrum Cable Internet.
Comparing apples to apples, I found at least on paper that Brightspeed will be twice as fast for the same money. So I'll save $306 those first 3mos by not paying for Spectrum and thereafter, Brightspeed will be $2 a month less than Spectrum.
Spectrum cable has been good and served me well. If it was just a $2 a month difference, I may not have switched, but the thing is for the same money ...
Spectrum Cable: 500Mbps download and 11Mbps upload
Brightspeed Fiber: 1Gig download and 1Gig upload
SOooo ... Brightspeed is twice as fast. I could get a 1Gig Spectrum plan but it would be much more expensive. Those speeds just listed are for the same money. AND I will be saving $306 by switching and $2 a month thereafter.
Just hoping Brightspeed Fiber and digital phone will be as reliable as Spectrum Cable and digital voice has been.
