Driving, bus riding, passengers and open windows

When many drive their car alone or with passengers they drive with the window completely closed up. They don't even crack a few. Wouldn't it be better to have a flow of air going through. Wouldn't driving in a vehicle with no windows open create a sealed test tube or petri dish. It's not just about this virus but being trapped with odors and toxic chemicals which can also be detrimental. I think part of the problem with many of these cruise ship outbreaks is that the ship is one big steel container except for some exterior cabins.

One of the things I notice about public transportation is that many new buses and train cars have rarely used or non functional/opening windows. And yet people are cramped together like sardine breathing the same air. People's breath, b/o and colognes are bad enough let alone the germs. Even in a subway wouldn't it be better to have at least a few cracked windows. Planes have been notorious for air quality issues but public transportation is just as bad.

It's spring or warm in most places in North America and Europe. How about a little fresh air.

Yes, the virus is more concentrated in a closed area. That's why the "Stay home" advice is rather asinine.
Interesting piece on those treated outside during the 1918 flu faired better than those treated inside.

Not only a lower chance of breathing the same air/droplets etc but the virus most now adapt or perish to temperature & humidity changes in combination with dealing with the UVs of the sun or being washed away by rain. I think the cruise ships are greatest example of the petri dish effect.
