Tim West was always a mainstay on British Tv and in movies. If you were a fan I'm sure you'll remember him as King Edward VIIth, Lord Deadlock in Bleak House, and as Mortimer in Edward II, as well as Drew Barrymore's father in law in Ever After. He was married to actress Prunella Scales who starred with John Cleese in Fawlty Towers. They had two sons, one is the actor Samuel West. I've enjoyed Tim West's work since the 1970s. It's going to be so hard to say goodbye forever to this icon. R.I.P.

Yep he died the other day...such a losss. he was a lovely man, and both the O/H and I worked with him over the years in varios shows and projects.

In their later years he and Prunella Scales his wife.. ( you may remember her as Sybil Fawlty in Fawlty Towers) starred in a wonderful series where the sailed their narrowboats up and down the canalas of the Uk... meandering beauifully everywhere....

He became the carer for Prunella some years ago when she got Alzheimers... , he was such a gentle, soul.. such a patient man.. such a great intellect... and he didn't allow her AZ to prevent her from sailing with him

They have sons who will now care for mum I'm sure.. but so sad that he left before he was ready... and she was left without him...

I do remember her in Fawlty Towers. She was hilarious. I was sorry to hear of her illness and sorry she lost Timothy when she needed him most.
