Wow!!! I can't believe its been 40 years today since my husb and I said "I do. Through our ups and downs, twist and turns, the love is definitely there. I have no regrets. One of the keys for a lasting marriage is letting go of what you can't control and not trying to change each other. I finally got the memo. I've always said we had a strong foundation, and it was put to the test plenty of times. That brick foundation was turning to sand a few times. 🤣🤣
 

Well congratulations to you. When we celebrated our 40th anniversary I treated the lady to a very special train journey. It was a five hour trip around London on The Orient Express, hauled by a vintage steam locomotive. What a day that was and the food was just so memorable.
The lady also had a very special gift waiting for her when got home. She loves the Birman cat breed, A kitten was waiting at the breeders cattery. That kitten is still very much with us. And what do you call a cat that is a 40th wedding present? Ruby, of course.
