Having a "senior moment" with marking pen

I can't find any info about how to manipulate this Sarstedt marking pen. I took the cap off and there's no tip at the end. There is an area that says "PRESS AND CLICK" on the side, but I can't see anywhere there's anything to press and click. I can't find any instructions online other than ordering info.

The only other thing that I can think of is to throw it away and grab another pen.

Who designs these things. Using a pen shouldn’t be a test.

This is what's under the cap - all hard plastic and no felt tip I can see.

I’ve got a similar one and I have to press the top part ( tip) down on a scrap of paper and the tip pops out it’s like a click
Your pen looks like it MAY BE …a turn …and click …...it’s got 2 little arrows in picture you added

Other option take it back to where it was purchased and ask them

On the Sarstedt I've used there was a string you pull to peal away that tip to reveal the lead, which wasn't graphite or felt, but a grease pen..a crayon-type thing.

But if yours is felt, it's one I've never encountered.

Oh, I see them. So, yeah, maybe that turns.

But maybe they indicate you're supposed to push down on the tip, like you said.

This is the one I have it didn’t have any tip showing till I pressed it down and the tip popped out

Nothing worked. I tried another pen in the box and it's the same thing. I can't take them back - they were a freebie.

I'd wager they work just fine. You just have to find out how.

Is there a batch number or series or model number on the box? Maybe type the brand name and that number into a search engine and you'll get some info about a recall or whatever.

Did you try the YouTube search engine? "how to turn on my goddam pen" ...or something more specific. Maybe there's a How-To video.

If they're felt pens, I bet they all dried out. How long they been sitting around? Years?

It's very possible the felts are just dried up little strings now, all shriveled up in the wells.

Yes, they are pretty old, probably 15 years or so.
