I make sure to be presentable each day and mirrors are to me a vital part of life. I can't imagine what on earth mankind did before the commonplace use of mirrors.

Yet these days are people too obsessed with appearances and not enough about all the truly important qualities of each other? Imagine if we couldn't see ourselves - perhaps we wouldn't worry so much about how we look.

How would be identify the vampires in our lives. Today, I can look into a mirror and if I don’t see Cousin Jake’s reflection I know he is a vampire (No wonder he likes his steaks very rare). Without mirrors I shudder to think what Jake might do.

Every bod would be forced to buy a modern car. How else could you back up, or check to see if it’s safe to change lanes unless you have a modern car with all the new safe driving bells and whistles.

The way I see some people dressed when I'm out and about, I'm convinced they did not check themselves in mirrors, especially not full length ones.
