Jumpin' Millennials!

Maybe I'm imaging this but I have come across some jumpin' millennials over the last week. First it was when an elevator opened up & this millennial jumped when he saw me. Then there were at least 3 times in grocery/drug stores. It seems that they are scared of me. Don't know why? I must be scaring them some how! Maybe they think that us seniors are loaded with the virus? Maybe they are so programmed to stay the "social distancing" recommendation that when they see me around the bend, they jump like bush rabbits when a rifle goes off. They say that us seniors should be the most careful but then why are some of the young so scared? Sure, we all need to be careful but to jump up when you see a senior coming is a bit much, I think. Has anyone come across such a situation?

Could it be they know they're guilty of not distancing when they see you, or anyone else, so their bodies react with immature gestures that seem so strange....or maybe they're doing it on purpose to get a reaction from others, as in, pranking, hmmm.....

They are just awed and overwhelmed by you. Consider yourself lucky, since I most often feel totally ignored and invisible to the younger folks!

Think of it as your Downton Abbey moment. When the Dowager Countess (or whatever Maggie Smith was called) enters the room, everybody jumps to their feet. And they are all terrified of her. Enjoy it! šŸ˜
