That Was Really Dumb

My Dad and I were watching Tarzan one Saturday when I was a kid. I was quite a swimmer in those days and I made a snide remark about Tarzan’s abilities swimming in a swamp. Dad replies, “That’s Johnny Weissmuller, an Olympic gold medalist in Swimming!” Oops.

I was a volunteer at Gettysburg (US civil war battle site, 1860s ), and got to know the guides. They told stories about the questions visitors asked. A guide was describing the battle between Yanks and Rebs to some visitors. One asked, "Which way did the German tanks come from?"
