There is no place to go, and nothing to do

Sigh, I find myself staying in my flannel night gown most of if not all of the day. How about you?
I see getting dressed as a waste of effort and clothes, because if I put clothes on I’ve got to wash them. Why wash them when I am not going anywhere. If I go outside I’ll put clothes on, the same ones I wore the day before, since no one else is outside, and change back when I get back inside.

It’s not like someone is going to drop by. 😂. Saves on laundry. More comfortable. My flannel and sweatpants keep me nice and warm so less heat used. Do you dress, or stay comfortably informal.

get up at 615, get dressed, take the dog out.

Drink coffee with wife from 630 to 730.

Take three mile walk or one mile swim. Shower, dress.

Read 10 pages of Paradise Lost (that's my Coronaproject)

Work 930 to 3 or 4 (writing marketing stuff for a mgmt consulting firm)

Tea, gardening, jigsaw puzzle, piano, online bridge lessons, dinner, watch either West Wing, Bosch or Homeland.

930 or so, take the dog out and go to bed.

It's the same every day.

I get up every morning around 6:30 or so,do my exercises for my knees, get dressed
I then go out for an early morning walk ,breathe in fresh air thru the mask, get exercise
Mon morning is the 1 day out of the week when I'm doing something important for others
.If I can't go outside to take my walks because of the weather, the day drags for me,those times I try to stay busy doing something e.g.shredding,read book,do word puzzles

I get up at 4.30 am, do my exercises, play & sing my guitar & then check out the computer. Then I read. After breakfast I go for a walk & read again. Nice "cat nap" in the afternoon & watch 2.5 hrs. of either Brit TV or my DVDs. I am busy all day. No time to sit around & worry about that ole' Kory Virus. Life is just too short. Actually, I think a schedule is a wonderful thing. If you sit around & do nothing but maybe watching meaningless TV, you sure will get depressed. They say that men that have no hobbies & just sit around after retirement, live, on the average only 2 years. I have been retired 20 years now so I guess I beat the odds but then I have a lot of hobbies, interests & I traveled a lot & moved a lot in those 20 years. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I could never stay in jamas or a nightie all day (unless I was in hospital)..... for one I don't own any, but in all seriousness, as soon as I'm showered I have to get dressed. so I wouldn't feel I could stay in nightwear even if I owned any .

if I'm not going anywhere then depending on the weather I either wear leggings or joggers, and a Top... or as for the last 6 weeks or so it's been very warm and sunny, I wear something sleeveless, with cut off denim shorts or crops.. I spend a lot of time in the garden.

Well, I don’t wear my flannel nightgown to bed, it would be way too hot. And I have sweats on, not pj bottoms. I consider the nightgown a very warm top. But it doesn’t matter what I wear in the house since no one is coming in and I’m not going out in it. 🤣. If I do go out, of course, I get dressed.

I don’t sleep much, I am usually up at 3 am. In the hospital I wear a lovely hospital gown so when I take a walk everyone can see my old wrinkly fat butt. 🤣

Yesterday I stayed in my long night gown very late and then changed into sweats and tee. I don't own any flannel jammies, I like the polyester/nylon gowns most but also have some cotton shorter nighties. These are the ones I got. Since I'm on the shorter side they are longer on me:

Today I dressed as I had a doctor's visit for a shot. Could not believe how less crowded the roads were. My daughter took me to the doctor's office for my shoulder shot and then back home. I had bought 3 sets of very nice loungewear to wear at home so I changed back into them. They could be used to go out but I prefer to dress up to go out.

It's 10.30am...took this pic a little while ago, typical thing I wear at home, cut down denim shorts.. and a sleeveless swing top...

I have too much to do to stay in pj's all day. I would find it so depressing. I am always visiting outside, either for a walk or my backyard. My day clothes are comfortable. OMG what if the neighbours saw me in my pj's - how embarrassing.

If I don't have anywhere to go (and that's been every day for what seems like the last 52 weeks....), you'll usually find me in my nightie or pj's most of the morning. I like comfort and nothing spells "c-o-m-f-o-r-t" than my soft old nightie.
There is a lot of talk about 'mental health' at the moment and I think keeping up standards is important. If I stayed in my nightclothes all day, I would feel like a slob, which wouldn't do me any good.
I'm behaving as I usually do, and I think that's important. Don't get into bad habits.
Well, it’s not a bad habit for me and others. It’s not like you are addicted to pjs and might need medical help to stop wearing them as in pj withdrawal. When I had my hip replacement surgery, I was in my nightie (not my flannel) for quite some time. I had no trouble transitioning back to getting dressed once I could.

Also, I didn‘t feel like a slob, and I don’t feel like a slob in my flannel and sweatpants. The fashion police had never arrived at my house to arrest me. I find it’s interesting that you do, though, if you don’t get dressed.

As for bad habits, hmm, I don’t have any habits. Each day is a new adventure 😂 in boredom.

Well, what would happen if the neighbors saw you outside in your pjs? Would the world end? Would you have to stay home for, hmm, weeks? Are your pjs see through? Will the fashion police show up?

I do a lot during the day as well. I watch tv, then I watch more tv, then I eat, watch more tv, and then I take a nap while watching tv, eat, watch more tv, eat again, watch tv, and go to bed. It’s a hard life, but I do the best I can. 🤪😂
