Teach her to ride?My main hurdle will be getting my wife used to the idea of me having two motorcycles.
I had the same bike in the '70s and it was my favorite as well.I've had a bunch of bikes over the years. If I had to pick 1 that I'd like to own again it would be my 2nd bike: 1970 Triumph Daytona 500 Twin.
Teach her to ride?
IMHO, if it doesn't have a kick starter it isn't a motorcycle . . . just a two wheeled car.
Did you race short track with that 250 Duc?No longer own a motorcycle. Not of my choosing - Sharon says I'm too old. My retort, "I'm only going to restore it, not ride it." (Yeah, right).
Still a card-carrying member of AMA and continue to retain 'MC' (motorcycle authorized) on my driver license. Once it's in your blood, it's there forever.
Nice bikes, guys. All of them.
My rides through the ages: Triumph Tiger Cub 200cc, Harley-Davidson 175cc Scat, Honda 125cc Benley Super Sport, Ducati 250cc short track conversion, Yamaha 200cc TW200, and Suzuki 350cc off-road conversion to dual sport. Oh, and throw in there a Triumph 650cc 40cu. in. drag bike build. One of my many regrets not finishing that.
I've been looking for a 1965 Superhawk for the last year as a project bike. Hard to find one in just so so condition, they're either been sitting outside junk or already restored.I saw where someone started a thread on wating to buy a vintage car. It got me to thinking about wanting a vinatge motorcycle. So I started looking on facebook market place and found these two. The first is a 1965 Triumph Bonneville. That was the bike to have back in the day and 1965 is the year I graduated from High School which would make it kind of special for me.
The second is a 1965 Honda Super Hawk. Again the year I graduated from High School. It was a 1966 Honda Super Hawk that the guy who wrote "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" rode.
Either one of them would be really cool to have a second bike.
My main hurdle will be getting my wife used to the idea of me having two motorcycles. That's going to be a tough one.

I can still kick start my older bike but in this day and age I'm happy to have an electric foot.Kick starts are cool.
