NFL approves players to wear guardian caps in regular season games

Anything to protect players from further head injuries is fine with me. I know that some "old school" fans are complaining that it makes the sport "less tough". The players playing today are faster, stronger, and quicker than they were even a decade ago.

Sports fans who don't like this new headgear because it "makes the game less tough" apparently do not care about the well being of the players. Would any of them want their brothers or children to risk permanent damage to their heads/brains if they played and didn't wear gear that would provide better protection? I doubt it.
