Why can't I stay logged in ?

I've tried a number of times, ticking the "stay logged in" box, but it just doesn't work for me. Am I doing something incorrectly, or ?

I'm sure someone will be able to answer your question... but as for me, I stay logged in with laptop and tablet and have never had an issue with either logging me out.

If you aren't checking "logout", you should be staying logged in. When you leave the forum, do you just click the "x"?

I don't know, I have been logged in since 2013.

I hit the "X" to stay logged in, but when I leave the forum and come back, the "X" is still checked but I have to enter my handle and password again. This isn't a big deal, but I should be able to "walk right in".

I think I've heard that there are settings on your browser that you can set to stay logged in on particular sites; I think it's a "cookie" setting.

Clearing browser cache can usually fix it.

I'm accessing the Forum via MS Edge rather than my usual Explorer. I have gone in and reset some settings and cleared the cache and I'll see if it works after I shut down and come back in.
