Do Men and Women Behave Differently When Sick?

I'm an unabashed whiner when I'm sick or injured. Last time I was sick (touching wood) was in the summer of 2022 when I had Covid. More recently, a 3-week bout of back spasms keeps me pissed off.

I am sorry for your wife having to go through such a miserable and horrible illness. Cancer is an illness that we still don’t have a full handle on yet, but some advancements have been made.

My wife had had skin cancer also 3 times from the Florida sun. She would get Squamish cell carcinoma. She is a redhead and has fair skin, but loves the sun, so do I. When we would go to Florida, I would rent a boat and we would spend the day on the water, or maybe just hangout on the beach. We did a lot of snorkeling or maybe get a couple of inner tubes and float with the tide.

When she had skin cancer, she had to undergo radiation therapy. Luckily, it never effected any other organs. I had 2 precancerous spots removed. We used volumes of sun block, but there are no guarantees that it will ever give anyone 100% protection.
