Gentle posts for gentle folks

Kaila, I’m ecstatic for both of you.

They used to give out free Covid test kits. I don’t think they have them anymore. I have some of the old ones. Not sure if they’d still work.
I wondered the same thing.
At one point, they'd said that they do work longer than the original expiration dates on them, but who knows for how long.
They are surely way past the dates on them, now.
It would definitely be helpful to have some on hand.

Re: Covid test distribution. The Feds stopped sending them free, but different decisions have been made by local govt, departments of health, corporations, and other entities. I can pick up free tests at our public libraries. My DD and DSIL, both teachers — one public school the other private — can get free tests at their employers. Ditto a son in the defense industry and a DIL who's an OT in a skilled nursing facility.

If your tests are seriously out of date, try looking up local sources that may still be distributing them without charge.

Great news for DH @Kaila !

If the cowboy manages to stay on, that‘s a loooooong 8 seconds. Many a cowboy who thought he was tough changed his mind before the 8 seconds was over.
Yes! I remember seeing a jeans (probably Wrangler), commercial whilst watching a bull-riding event, a long time ago. It was something like, "Wrangler, guaranteed to last an eternity... all eight seconds of it."

I'm here, K-Posse. Just tested and still positive for Covid, DRAT! So I have to still mask up when in common areas to protect DH from catching this. Mostly I'll continue sequestering in the guest wing. Sounds like I live in a mansion, right? I don't - our house configuration has the master suite in a different area from the other bedrooms.

Anyway, that means more reading, movies, and down time. I'm not especially sick, but notice being fuzzy-brained which I've also been during previous Covid bouts and other illnesses. So no weighty decisions, financial work, spreadsheet analyses, etc., until I'm several days past this.

@CallMeKate, when I was a child, "The Wizard of Oz" played on TV once a year and I doubt I ever missed a screening. Although the flying monkeys and wicked witch terrified me and the Land of Oz creeped me out, I watched it because I thought Glinda (Billie Burke) was the most beautiful woman in the world.

I hope all make today a wonderful day. Me? I'm gonna put on my big girl panties and tough it out.

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. 🤗 :coffee: 🌻 (It is currently 11:57 a.m., EST, so I made it! 😁)

@StarSong, glad to hear that at least you are not feeling too badly with this illness. What are you watching?

@Jules, don'tcha just love a perfect cup of coffee!?

I have given Lucius his first walk, finished my exercises and morning meditations and now I get to relax and play some Animal Crossing. (Wouldn't you have been surprised if I'd said, "Play some, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?" 🤣)

Wishing everyone here a lovely, peaceful day. 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕
