In Memory Of John F. Kennedy

I saw his grave site in Arlington Cemetary because as part of my honeymoon, we went to Washington, DC.

Then many years later, I was able to see Dealy Plaza, where he was murdered, while staying close to Dallas for software training for work.

What a coincidence.

I went to school he was president. I got home that afternoon he was gone. No announcement at school. What I really mostly remember was my Dad yelling at the tv during what must have been the Cuban Missile Crisis.

I was eight yrs old and in school. We were sent home. I didn't fully understand what had happened, just that our young president had been killed. I felt awful for months. This is JFK and Jackie in Hyannis in happier times.

I'm generally not into conspiracy theories, but there's a lot of stuff that just doesn't add up with the narrative about Lee Harvey Oswald being the lone gunman.
I agree. A lot of things are off it seems

It is interesting for our generation, most of us remember where we were that day. I was 9 years old. We were in the assembly room, all the 4th graders watching a film on plants. The principal ran in and turned on the TV. We were all sent home for the day. I remember walking by a classroom seeing a teacher crying

I was sleeping after working the night shift at a company and a friend called and said the President has been shot. I didn't believe her but turned on TV and a little later they said he died. Our town went quiet on that day and I felt bad for his wife and children.

There was an airing last might on the Story channel about the conspiracy theories - "JFK Assassination: the Definitive Guide". It's probably on Hulu or a similar service since they are not showing it again anytime soon.

I was 13 when Kennedy was elected President. The only President I knew was Ike. He was always having a heart attack, and Mame looked , and dressed like my grandmother, and they wanted to live on a farm! OMG!!!
Kenndy was young, with a classy wife, and they lived in a seaside "compound". Considering I'm a die hard Democrat. , and was born in Massachusetts, and Catholic, Kennedy had to be my hero.
And, oh yeah, my grandfather worked on Kennedy's Senatorial campaign. They weren't good friends, but they knew each other.
I will always remember it was 2:15 PM, when the nun told us he'd been shot.

I was in 11th Grade. I can't remember what class I was in but the first announcement was that he had been shot. Then later in that day our assistant principal, Marion Shambaugh, yeah that was his name, came on the PA sysytem and announced "I regret to advise you that the President is dead". I remember thinking that that it seemed strange to me that he used the word "advise" instead of "inform". Later I mentioned this to a friend of mine and he said, "No, he said "inform". And when it was written up a few days later in the school paper they quoted him as saying "inform" not "advise". But to this day I still believe that he said "advise".

To this day, my all time favorite American President. Still after all this time. RFK would have been a great President also. He was leading in all the polls against candidates of both parties.

There was a documentary on just today that hinted [strongly] to the thought that he was actually shot by a member of the secret service ??? By accident , but still ?? They did put up some compelling arguments to support it.

It didn't help that Oswald got conveniently whacked before he could tell his side of the story.
Right on. There’s things that went on that we will never know about. That doesn’t include the rumors that were flying around, including the story about Johnson. I think the assassination was a conspiracy that included more than just one person,

I found it odd that Papa Bu sh couldn't remember where he was that day.
