Physical condition, nor energy have nothing to do with the silliness displayed by the masses that I was referring to, in fact, that makes it more annoying when they do act childish or silly after scoring a touchdown for example.I really do like watching them on tv. You see so much more. And as far as the “silliness “ goes…these people are in the best physical condition of their lives…lots and lots of energy.
You just illustrated my point Dave, thank you for agreeing with me!Maybe you can block them.
Yep, the Olympics used to be where you could see mainly young amateurs compete, purely for the sport. They weren't allowed to be paid. The Olympics used to be great, now Dream Teams and pro athletes are the norm.
So true! This is interesting because I just finished watching "Chariots of Fire", amateurs competing to the best of their God-given abilities, back before steroids, and big money sponsors took over the games. Now its all about money, and as you said, pros, when it used to be for amateurs only. The Olympics used to be great, now Dream Teams and pro athletes are the norm.
Too much politics and DEI for me. No sport appeals to me any longer.Losing interest in professional sports.
I’m pretty sure I could win a gold medal in race-walking, I’d just run instead. So true! You cannot run in a racewalk event lol!! But, this can't prevent you from trying.I’m pretty sure I could win a gold medal in race-walking, I’d just run instead.
That's part of my complaint, now we see interviews being conducted during the game with players and coaches. They keep adding more and more talking heads with mics, as if that makes it more entertaining. I am tired of it all.I watch football professional and college! I watch each play (as they step up to address the ball), but little of the cr__ that goes on before and after. It is only all about the game...
Did you see the movie "Concussion"? It's a must watch on the subject of CTE injuries. My husband and I both lost our appetites for football when CTE injuries became well-known. We watch the Super Bowl because it's a cultural event. He might watch some playoffs, but I don't bother. Even with the SB, I'm reading a book during most of the plays.
I like baseball - Little League on up to MLB.
Olympics? I watch some, but they're not by any means a must-see.
You can all ways turn the sound down to zero, and watch. I do that with the NASCAR races. That's part of my complaint, now we see interviews being conducted during the game with players and coaches. Well stated!I never watch sports on TV nor do I ever look at it on the media or newspapers. Why? I don't like it being shoved down my throat. Sports teams are owned by the rich and I got no time to "give a hoot" which team is going to win what game.
I do care about the weather, inflation, increasing crime, global warming, the coming World War III and the price of groceries. I care about my life not about some team winning or losing some "BIG" game. Why is it always some "BIG" game. Don't they ever have any normal games?
Yes, I do that, and zoom in the screen so as not to see the annoying scrolling news taking up most of the bottom of the screen, showing scores of everything going on lol! I have had many recorded games ruined by that, so I had to delete them after seeing, or hearing the score. You can all ways turn the sound down to zero, and watch. I do that with the NASCAR races.

But true to his form, he believes he's the GOAT.Tom Brady is the WOAT when it comes to color commentary.
