Stop. Holly, you wrote that you had put Inept on ignore. But how could you then give this comment of him an upvote? It's going to take me a lot of time to figure that one out. Can you give me a hint?

It was extremely foolish by Finland and Sweden to become part of the NATO. I know of the war between the Sovjet Union and Finland during WW 2, but for the last years Finland had good connections to Russia, even with their people shopping and working on both sides of the border. And Sweden had nothing to fear of Russia too.Finland and Sweden are new NATO countries. They ask for help, we provide it right? Even though we escalate the war by saying they can use our gigantic missiles. So Russia roars. Are they going to start anther war over this? If Ukraine fires those missiles, yes...it is a good possibility.
Meine gute! Did she write that?Holly, you wrote that you had put Inept on ignore.
Good question. But how could you then give this comment of him an upvote?
Personally I think it’s very smart of those two countries. Why rely on Russia’s goodwill not to invade and conquer. Ask Poland how fun it was to be under a communist dictator. I have relatives there and they are thrilled to be a part of NATO.It was extremely foolish by Finland and Sweden to become part of the NATO. Yes, extremely foolish. It was extremely foolish by Finland and Sweden to become part of the NATO.
True, I cannot blame Finland for being angry about Karelian.I know of the war between the Sovjet Union and Finland during WW 2,
I was across the Helsinki - Leningrad border in 1976 when it was still the USSR and the cross border shopping was very good.but for the last years Finland had good connections to Russia, even with their people shopping and working on both sides of the border.
NOTHING at all. I have much more to say about that but we are not allowed to talk about politics on this forum. And Sweden had nothing to fear of Russia too.
Rubbish.Personally I think it’s very smart of those two countries.
Because they don't pose a threat that's why.Why rely on Russia’s goodwill not to invade and conquer.
What does the Cold War have to do with Sweden? Nothing at all. We, the people of Sweden are not "thrilled" in the least about becoming NATO. Now look what has happened to us because of it. We are now up to our eyebrows in the brown stuff.Ask Poland how fun it was to be under a communist dictator. I have relatives there and they are thrilled to be a part of NATO.
We bought 2 at and antique store just in case as part of our survival plan....I wonder if those 1950s school desks we used to hide under to protect us from the bomb are still available.

Looming war.It would help if you explained how joining NATO has led to the "up to our eyebrows in the brown stuff".
Looming war.
WAR: a state of armed conflict between different countries or different groups within a country.
It doesn't matter what I think. I matters what you think, right? And you believe that Sweden is MORE likely to be invaded or go to war, because it's a member of NATO?
Is that because you think you could sit out a war in Europe, with modern weapons, if a WW3 should occur? Or do you think you're more a target because Russia might choose to attack you now?
It doesn't matter what I think. I matters what you think, right?
We're not allowed to discuss politics.? I don't understand your response. Neither you nor I have the power to change anything in real terms. Our opinions though, in isolation, are fine for discussion. No? I'm just trying to understand your point of view.
