Too Early for Christmas Music

Our 24-7 Christmas music station started last week and runs through Jan. 1. A little off the topic I get a little pissed when I see
the thousands of pounds of candy on display for Halloween thinking why not just feed our kids rat poison?!

I can hardly wait until "Silent Night" and "Joy To The World" are done in rap tempo. Santa needs to be coloured & Mrs. Claus needs to cover up. She is showing way too much cleavage & bare leg. JUST KIDDING!

No lights in our place until December 1. No Christmas music in our place until December 15. I'm getting sick of all those jingle bells, ho, ho, hos & other Christmas noise; sponsored by commercial stores.

I have one channel on my TV box that plays
Christmas movies every day of the year and
a second channel started that in September,
though I don't know how long that will last.

Many times I have thought that the Christmas
should be like the Olympics, of course if Christ
was born on the 29th of February the problem
would be solved.

Mike.

I record my own CDs. I have 18 CDs of Christmas music that includes tons of Elvis, Mario Lanza, Perry Como, Irish Rovers, Bing Crosby, etc. These days the less Christmas music the better. I only go to stores at this time of the year if it is really necessary. Christmas music chases me away from stores & I buy very little at this time of the year.

I play Handel's Messiah, on an album, on Christmas morning. That's it, for me, for Christmas music. When my band was playing fulltime, we did all of the pop Christmas stuff for company parties.

Christmas Music is like snow on Christmas Day. When you wake up on Xmas, and the ground is covered in a clean, crisp layer of snow, it's beautiful. It warms your heart and enriches your soul, But by Dec 26th, we can loose the snow. It's a pain. And if it snows before Xmas, it's not beautiful, it's slush. It's the same with Xmas music. It's great on Dec. 24 th and Xmas. But by Dec. 26th, we can loose the music. And I can live with out Xmas music for the "Christmas In July" nonsense.

I love Christmas Music any time of year....
Guess that you should listen to Christmas music 12 months of the year. Have you not heard of popular music, country music, classical music, ethnic music, etc. Why be stuck with one type of music 12 months of the year. Life is too short.
