Who do you trust?

Politicians? Nope. Media? Not me. Covid statistics? Not so much. My own eyes? Perhaps. I trust my immediate family, and a few friends. It’s a select group. These days, i take everything with a grain of salt and then some.

But when a vaccine is offered, I’m taking it. Cuz living like this is unacceptable. It just is.

Actually Win, that quote goes back at least to 1845 (Edgar Allen Poe).

Personally, who I trust depends on how important the subject is. If it's trivial I'll take things at face value. Otherwise I seek out the most credible sources I can find and trust my own judgement.
 
I trust my family and friends. Everyone else, I treat with caution, and respect....but keep a bit of "distance", until I get to know them. I would Never turn my back on a politician, and before I believe anything coming from the media, I try to check multiple resources.

Ah, I sorta thought it was too clever to have originally come from the cop.
 
So far I haven't found a single person that I trust completely but I'm still lookin'.

That's how I try to live, too, giving most people the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise.

However:
"Dateline," has taught me to keep my doors locked at all times, and "Youtube," has taught me that I can't even fully trust my own eyes. One person's video will convince me of something while another angle will show me I was wrong.
