In the shoe strings?
That's what I thought. I only vaguely remember those. And the shoes were always white & square with the soles that went all the way right up the back. And often parents had those harnesses to keep children from getting away.Yep. Helped kept track of the little ones.
Because they believe that they make their legs look good. Why do women wear stiletto heels? Or high heels in general?

Really? But for whose benefit? For men (as they claim) or for other women (to impress them)?Because they believe that they make their legs look good.
Any heel is ridiculous IMO.IMO the trend toward super high heels in the last number of years has gotten ridiculous.
I am not a professional but I can understand that.I can tell you from a professional point of view that those shoes are bad for the feet, legs, and low back.
They certainly are. Particularly so for politicians and weather & news women. They're also ugly.
Don't worry, one look and I'm gone.If you boys aren't turned on by my sexy orthopedic lace-ups, t'ellwichya.....
I used to love them. It made the legs look slender. I always took them off when I got to the office and wore flats because I always ended up with blisters on the heels. Now because I'm much older I have developed bunions, and the Podiatrist said it was because of those high heels and narrow toes. I read the other day that high heel shoes were worn by men and women courtiers until the French revolution. When high heels came back in style in the late 1800s, they were only worn by women. But, you can still see them worn by Spanish dancers. Why do women wear stiletto heels? Or high heels in general?
It seems logical...... bunions, and the Podiatrist said it was because of those high heels and narrow toes.
