Against the vaccine? What about polio?

I find it very interesting how you want everyone to leave you alone and not force you to get vaccinated and yet several of you feel very comfortable in being dismissive because I have a different opinion. Double standard eh? ' Be respectful to my choices but I don't have to be of yours?'
Did somebody pick on you? Personally. The vaccines are health choices and people should be free to make whatever choice they want regarding their own health,

Like you, I think we all have a right to make our own medical decisions, but I also accept that if someone is going to chose to opt out in a case like the covid vaccines, they have no choice but to accept that there will be restrictions on their activities as a result. I think there are a few folks here who resent those restrictions and it's coming out as being dismissive of those of us who decided to follow the recommendations.

If you're talking about Sweden, they didn't do well.
Oh, leave it alone. One day, when the Time Machine is invented, I will bring you back and show you how wrong you are.
One paragraph in one of the linked articles read thusly:
………..Perhaps social distancing comes naturally to introverted Swedes,
At least some good-natured humour, thank you.
But fellow Scandinavian introverts in Denmark and Norway chose lockdowns .
No "lockdown". Those of us living in Skåne were not prevented (in the least) from entering Denmark, otherwise a certificate from the injection sheeple was good enough. But I am talking about the first few weeks, that's all. And despite your jolly joke about Swedes, we made no effort to distance ourselves on public transportation and masks were rarely seen.

Oh, screw off. One day, when the Time Machine is invented, I will bring you back and show you how silly you are.

Living in Canada, all I can do is share articles that I've found online that discuss the issue of Sweden's dead. And if you had read the article, you'd discover that it referenced your assertion that few people wore masks and that there were no mandates, only recommendations for the most part. So I'm not disagreeing with you on that. And the 'jolly joke on Swedes' was not my joke, it was an inference by the author of the article. So I'm not going to take credit for something I didn't do. However, I think you need to learn to discuss without being so rude and I'm not going to stick around and be the one you target. I'm done.

Being respectful of people's choices doesn't mean not disputing misinformation nor does it mean they can make those choices without consequences.

You have free choice but you therefore accept the consequences that come with that choice. Like all choices.

Making rude derogatory personal attacks when you don't like what others say doesn't change that.

I understand that but you present it as truth. I am saying it isn't. Living in Sweden, I can say that.

Yes, I know.

This has already been dicussed and resolved. I did edit the "rude" part and I also mentioned that I belong to another forum where things are much more agressive and I let it carry over to this forum by mistake. But it seems that both my edit and my explanation were removed by the admin so you're probably not aware of it. See post #303?

The problem, as I see it, is that there is a lot of what is generally called "MSM media" that is saturated in misinformation, disinformtion and (dare I say) lies. I see a lot of false information on a number of subjects and they all have an agenda which is controlled by the forum's taboo subject, so I won't go into it. Your first line (that I have quoted above) is clear and I cannot hold that against you.

All true.

when you chose to not follow the recommendations, you also chose to be restricted in some of your activities. Your choice.
To the contrary, I have always continued to do exactly what I wanted to do, and have completely ignored
all of the stupid oppressive dictatorial ignorant and dangerous "recommendations" - which you and others have
chosen to give in to and obey, to change your lives to follow, perhaps permanently, and millions of you died for doing so.

Meanwhile you continue to obey and quote the dictatorial liars who oppressed you, instead of simply living your own lives.

I ignored the mandates and regulations as I was allowed to but in the U.S it's challenging. Depending on what state you reside in. It must've been far more restrictive in CA. o_O

As in some parts of my country mask mandates were still obligatory in the subway and the trains a lot of young people didn't obey. But mostly from other cultures. Most young Germans didn't have the courage.

John I have no idea what that meme you quoted me to add means.

But yes if people are disobeying the law that does make them criminals - not agreeing or liking a law doesn't change that.

Some people did go hiking with masks on.It seemed ridiculous to wear masks all the time.

as always, quite apart from Covid, some people d o things that I might consider ridiculous - but if they are not hurting anyone else or breaking any laws that is OK

Maybe the hiking people had their reasons - I know people who wore masks on their own in cars were often ridiculed - but as someone who sometimes did this, people had their reasons.

Mine was that it was hard to get mask fitted right to avoid glasses fogging up so if I were going from one shop to another or from work to another location, it wasnt worth taking the mask off and on again.
