How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

Hello folks, Happy Sunday!! Up at 5am, reason was crazy dream,
and yes I was falling in the dream!!! go figure !!...it is 50F here
this morning, going up to 60 they say, no rain likely...not much
on my plate this morning, maybe start the laundry, a few things
in the sink..otherwise boring day scheduled!!! Health issues
are mild today, hope it will stay that way....take care all !!!:):coffee:

I got another set of double windows cleaned.
It's true! It brings the outdoors in! Nice and shiney.
A lower section on one of the windows was bad and moisture got in between. It looked dirty even when clean. DH traded it with one in a back bedroom. Oh, so much better!
We also discovered that they have seven months of warranty left so we can have it replaced.
DH is also trying to figure out a clothesline that I can take up and down. It needs to be tight which it won't be if just hanging on hooks. He's rigging something but I told him if it's a big toodoo, not to worry about it.

A beautiful Autumn day - Blue sky, moderate breeze and 7 Deg C. Got a load of washing on the line, but will probably have to finish it in the airing cupboard. The storm wasn't as bad a previous ones and no damage done.
Hope to get out for a walk this afternoon and then cooking chicken for dinner.
the storm is sill very strong here currently.. but we're promised sunshine for Monday and Tuesday..

I take it back about no damage to the fences..one of the central panels has split across the top......it won't be able to be repaired.

if my o/h was still here we could go and buy a replacement 6 foot panel, and put it in ourselves...as we've done in the past.. but now I'm on my own.. that 6 foot panel is going to cost me at least triple because I'll have to pay someone to slide it in to the gap for me..,:(

for outside or inside ?

Outside, in the back yard. Mostly for airing out blankets, curtains, etc.

I've looked at those but not strong enough for my purposes. DH also has some big, heavy tarps he needs to hang sometimes.
Honestly..until my tumble dryer packed recently..I only ever used ine for Duvets , pillows, Rugs.. etc... and I also have some extremely heavy tarps.. and I always hang them on the line when i need to dry them out.... never been a problem..(y)

I've got to find my get up & go.
Oldest son told hubby that he expects to arrive here Monday or Tuesday.
Will be here for a week!

Now I have to plan meals for us & make pies for Thanksgiving.
And get ready for youngest son to arrive the day after Thanksgiving.

First day of deer hunting starts Saturday.

Last evening we had 14 deer in our field.
The ground under the apple trees is covered with apples.

Wow. I just realized that 64 years ago at this time, I was standing at the altar with Whatsisname, the Father of My Children, exchanging forever vows. Obviously, it wasn't forever!

When it warms up a bit around noon, it seems that it's finally time to wend my way to the garden and pull up the rest of the summer flowers. Once the frost hits and kills them...probably this week...they get all slimy. There are still cool-weather flowers that will bloom all winter.

Today is Dessert for Dinner day. I'm thinking...šŸ¤”

Good. We got tons of rain finally which is going to help with the brush fires. We were very lucky to escape further threat. I feel okay today. We're supposed to get snow next week which is way too early and I don't even want to think about it. :giggle:

Good morning to all. Sunday Nov 24th. 2024 will be gone before we know it. o_O

The weather gods must have overheard my complaints yesterday about being gypped out of our forecasted rain, because we got a little wet weather overnight. It was only enough to water the plants a bit, but some is better than none.

TGS is fascinated by Christmas trees this year. He's been under the weather with a stomach bug so during his nap time yesterday, DS put their tree up to happy him up some. We zoomed last night and he was showing off that tree like a game show model gesturing at prizes. His excitement was contagious and adorable.

This morning, I FINALLY made my Pumpkin Cheesecakes! (2) I have been thinking about making them for a few weeks now, so I'm glad to see them cooling, off to the side.

Amazon "improved" how I do pictures on my tablet....now I can't get it to work at all!!!!! I tried to ask Mr Google what I was doing wrong, but all he showed me was a (VERY) long list of other customers complaining! I am not alone!

One of the things that I can't do anymore is to add text. It's very frustrating!

I was so enthusiastic about getting things done around here today....but so far I've accomplished almost nothing! (except for the pies)

I'm less enthusiastic now, but I guess I should just start pushing myself. After being so unproductive, what I really want to do is give up and take a nap!

Wise decision, imo. Iā€™m so cautious after dark.
Thank you for your concerned about me going down in the middle of the night, but I've never felt unsafe. Changing my M.O. was partly due to my gut feeling that it was time to stop going down at night and neighbors telling me that sometimes the walk in gate is propped open with a rock. My son leaves for work at 3:30 a.m. and I could have him call me from the parking lot to let me know if the walk in gate is closed. People parked in the lot have to have key fobs to open the gates. Unfortunately, these days, one may not be safe in the daytime either.
