I think you have a lovely name.. ... the meaning matches your personality, very clever of your mum and dad..In my teens, I disliked my name .. so, I wrote different variations of it. Now, I don't really care, though I don't use the original spelling of it.
I was also born in April.... but quite sweet you should say April and sun, because we have our lovely friend here called @AprilSunI'd like to be named April because I was born in that month and have always like the name. I would remind people of warmth and flowers and "Here comes the Sun."
Born in April as well. Used to think names like Alex, Alexa, Alexandria were very special but not so much anymore.I'd like to be named April because I was born in that month and have always like the name. I would remind people of warmth and flowers and "Here comes the Sun."
My schoolfriend had an older sister called Alexis.. it was very unusual where we lived and quite exotic, and when I was a teen I wanted to be called that... today due to Amazon.. I'm very pleased I wasnt...Born in April as well. Used to think names like Alex, Alexa, Alexandria were very special but not so much anymore.

Which culture are you referring to?In our culture questioning one's name is sacrilegious. It's like calling our parents "stupid".
I would choose to be named Jane; I've always liked that name. I feel like a Jane.
Isn't Esmeralda the name of the female in the story the Hunchback of Notre Dame?I went through a stage in my early teens when I wanted to be Esmeralda, Guinevere, or Genevieve. There were a few more, each more "exotic" than the other, but try as I might, I can't remember them. Most of them were from classic literature I was reading.
Yep, same here. Hoover looked forward to being teased about it because he loved to fight. He was a big kid, and he was a vicious fighter, so it only took a couple quick arse-whoopins, and no more teasing. All the boys at school would warn the new kids...I remember that so well.and Frank... if anyone called their son''Hoover'' here, it would be presumed he was named after a Vacuum cleaner...
