What have you bought recently?

I am about to press pay-now...on a new 13.5tog Feather & Down Duvet....

I usually am happy with comforters on my bed, they are so much easier for me to take off, wash and put back on rather than struggle with putting a cover on, the Duvet...and my bed is against the wall and I can't put it out so it's hard to deal with duvets and covers, and fitted sheets..

However my new bed which is arriving this week, I've decided to put it in a diferent room, which will give me all around clearance, so I'm buying a new Duvet, and I'm gonna search now for some fancy Duvet covers..

A tiny mp-3 player that can hold 64 gigs of music. It also can play videos & access local radio
stations.

If there was ever any doubt that Technoloy has advanced this should convince even the most skeptical.

The first MP3 player, the IXI, was about the size of a credit card. It had a small LCD screen, navigation and volume buttons, and could hold at least 8 MB of data.
Early MP3 players had limited storage, usually 32 MB or 64 MB, which was enough for about 30 minutes of music or 10 tracks. The iPod, which was released in 2001, had a revolutionary design that took advantage of the maturing MP3 technology.

Saw a Black Friday ad for the portable solar panel array and "power station" (charge controller, batteries, inverter, display, power sockets, cables, etc.) that I bought a couple of weeks ago before the Election here.

Dug up my invoice since they have a 30 day price-match guarantee. Same price, so that saves me the paperwork for a refund.

Since then I bought a 3rd party generic 20 foot extension cable to run between the two. That should make it easier to do my winter testing of solar charging when we get some sunny days. I can have the "station" indoors and run the cable through the sliding patio door with a strip of foam to fill the rest of the gap.

I wonder if anyone ever wraps the gifts in solid white and then spatter-paints the packages in seasonal colors?

Maybe I'm missing out on other low-effort options.
lowest effort is not wrapping them at all. which in latter years was how my soon2bex demanded he got his gifts.. ''if you really MUST buy me a gift..then I don't want it looking like a gift''...

It was a day for spending. Hairdresser. I like her better and she did a better job than the last one, so tipped her well. Popped in a thrift store and picked up some odds and ends. In the afternoon, went to a department store and ended up buying new boots - full price of $200. Sorrels, size 5 and great sole. It just about killed me, though that’s better than doing myself in on the ice.
