What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

Oh no! Mother was no romantic comedy.
It was a horror film.

poet and his wife lead a tranquil existence in a burnt-out house. However, when uninvited guests come barging in, the couple's life turns chaotic and shocking

Mothers Day, it's in the original post...or did I mess up. I'm not a monster, haha - "Hey sweetheart
, let's go to see a movie together
" 😨

The mother I starting watching was about a mother who gave birthday to a baby and all the strangers who came to the door were pulling the baby apart like it was a vicious, evil being. It was so horrifically graphic too.

'The Greatest Game Ever Played', GOLF! Loosely based on a true story. Disney production starring Shia Labeouf, not a big fan of his, troublesome but still a good actor. Co-starring Stephen Dillane a very, very good British/Scottish actor. Had to take a break from all the 'Revenge' movies I've been watching!

Wandering through the universe of available movies tonight, I happened upon this one (and as Dave Barry used to say, "I am NOT making this up!")

The movie is titled "Slaw" and is described as a "horror comedy". Here's the plot (word-for-word from the TV screen): "In this parody of the Saw horror franchise, two brothers/food snobs kidnap and torture people using their mother's coleslaw recipe".

Maybe I'll watch it some day. It would be interesting to see what I could do with MY mother's coleslaw recipe. So far, nobody's been harmed by it, but it isn't Thanksgiving till next week so the year isn't over yet.....

Rated 2.8 on IMDB. :ROFLMAO:

The Inside Man.....w/Ted Danson and a few other 'old timers' you may recognize. I did, But don't know they're names except for Sally Struthers.

Cute, easy to watch movie about Ted visiting a rest home and becoming a spy for a P.I...........Netflix

Little Dorrit the 1987 version that is in two parts for a total of 6 hours. No, didn't watch it all in one sitting. Has a good cast. I feel like I deserve a trophy for participation.

I've seen several movies lately, but haven't kept up with this thread. I'll start with the last one, and see how far back I can remember.....

The Long Kiss Goodnight ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Staring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. We had actually forgotten that we had already seen this movie. We liked it the first time we saw it, and it was still very entertaining and enjoyable the seeing it the second time!

The Flash (no stars - negative stars)
We couldn't even finish this movie, it was that bad! It didn't meet my expectations of a DC movie....it was slapstick to the point of being dumb, uninteresting, and had very little original plot.

Wind River ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Staring Jeremy Renner. It was based on actual events, which I usually like. I had never heard of this movie, but got it because it was written by Taylor Sheridan. Once again, he did not disappoint me!

Avatar-The Way of Water ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What can I say? If you liked the first Avatar, then you'll like this one, too. It had a good story and amazing special affects!

Sicario ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Another Taylor Sheridan movie! I admit that I was a bit confused at first, because it had a more complex plot. It still held my attention, and I enjoyed it. There is a sequel, and I plan on (eventually) seeing that one also.

I think I'm caught up for now. I'm back to watching TV shows for a while.

Zombieland, on Netflix, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Woody Harrelson

We were in the mood for something light last night, and this had been sitting in our watchlist for a while, so we gave it a try. The first half was funny and the characters were interesting, but then it turned into a soap opera. Why do they always feel the need to do that?

I still call Claire Foy Little Dorrit even after watching her star in all those episodes of The Crown. You can't go wrong with a good adaptation of Dickens. Matthew Macfayden is good in it, too.

I'm currently following the Howards End mini-series on PBS Sunday nights and I've seen it three times already. It is staring an older version of Matthew Macfayden. Beautifully done version of the E.M. Forster novel.

Thanks for the trophy, now all I have to do is get it filled with beer.
