I'll get over it. Luckily, I have my SF friends to distract me!
 
Happy Sunday, November 10th!

I took all the nuts out of the freezer (30 lbs or so) and am about to assemble a big batch of my version of mixed nuts. Those go into plastic jars that fit nicely in the unused space behind the kegs in our kegerator. I do this a few times a year because DH & I eat a handful of mixed nuts every day and standard nut mixes are overly salty.

When done, I'll weigh, measure and record the remainder to see what's still needed for holiday baking.

how long can you keep nuts frozen , Star ?

A year or longer. But I go through them faster than that.

It keeps the oils in them from going rancid. I refrigerate or freeze all nuts and seeds unless they'll be consumed within a month or two.

I can't get through nuts that quickly .. I have mixed nuts at home but I don;t eat a handful more than once a week ..usually I thorw some raisins in with them
