Make sure it’s very cold and use a straw. For me, the worst part is drinking the Golytely! Yuck!!!
Oh always give beer money if people do anything extra for me....@hollydolly That's not being cheeky if there's a nice tip included
Your rain was here today. I made Branded Cranberries and my house smelled divine! It rained pitchforks and hammer handles here all day yesterday and into the night. It's gone now and way too warm for mid-November. 64 right now but a high temp of only 70 today. Tonight? Eeeek! Into the mid-30s and laundry day isn't until tomorrow so my Ladies Loungewear (with pockets) won't be available until tomorrow night.
I want a medalbecause I really did scrub the kitchen and bathroom floors yesterday. On my hands and knees. And included the baseboards. That means I'm gonna sit around on my dead center today, after DD takes me to the credit union so I can "buy" some cash.
@hollydolly I wish you'd get yourself a back brace to wear when you're doing the lifting/stretching/carrying chores. It could help a whole lot and certainly wouldn't hurt.
Yay! Glad you are getting some rain too.45F here and cloudy right now. Blessed rain forecast for overnight / tomorrow! Seriously need the rain.
Nothing going on today worth mentioning yet, except I'm wishing you all a wonderful day.
Thanks, HL!Yay! Glad you are getting some rain too.
I would love to let my hair dry naturally and wave but I haven't found the exact right product to get nice wave without frizz. And if I do, as I age, it's harder to keep it more than one day.Seems to be a body maintenance week for me.
Got my hair cut Monday - first time since APRIL. She'd cut it way too short back then, and put in so much low light color that I washed it about ten times with Dawn dish soap the next day to strip some out.
This time, I've got barely-there low lights and a longer cut. It's almost to my shoulders when wet but shrinks about 1-1/2" as the curls dry. I'm much happier, and it will work better for her in the long run because I won't be going 7 months between visits.
Also checked a mammogram off my list on Monday. Next up is a colonoscopy because of strong family health history - had my sibling not had rectal cancer plus a parent and another sibling had pre-cancerous polyps, I'd be past the age for this screening.
I can deal with drinking the goop, pooping my brains out, and the test itself. What puts me over the top: nothing except clear liquids and Jello for 36 hours before the test. And none of those liquids or Jello can be blue, purple or red.
Oh! Good luck to you too Trila! Sorry about your knee.Still having a busy week. Yesterday I visited the Vampire for my annual blood draw/check up. I also had my first Bone Density Test. It was fine, sort of. The tech twisted my leg to put it in position, and hurt my bad knee. She didn't do anything wrong, it's just the my knee doesn't move like other peoples do. Had I known what was up, I would have told her that my knee is damaged. She was really nice....sweet and professional....she just didn't know, and I didn't know to tell her. Anyway, she didn't hurt it bad, just enough to be annoyed for most of the day. It was fine by the timewanted his walk.
Today I am on a clear liquid diet, and this evening I "get to" chug down the Golytely.Fun times!
I don't expect to be here tomorrow.....it's colonoscopy day!
@StarSong we're colonoscopy sisters!
I'm having my tea right now, watching Dio eat!
For me, the worst part is drinking the Golytely! Yuck!!!
That is a good idea! I should probably get one too. It may prevent some pain.Never even gavve it a thought tbh Gigi.... I will now tho'.. and I'll have a search on tinternet later today , as to which one might be the most supportive..if only for using when I'm lifting stuff...
I didn't think of a straw.....thanks.Make sure it’s very cold and use a straw.
Thanks! My knee is ok, it's just one of those things.Oh! Good luck to you too Trila! Sorry about your knee.
Yeah, these were more like pajamas. The gods are telling me I don't need any more clothing.@hearlady The label says 77% viscose, 19% polyester, 4% spandex. It feels like soft wool. The brand is "Serra" and made in Bangladesh.
We haven't done the Aisle of Shame this week. Maybe tomorrow. No telling what we'll find this time
Yeah. My Ladies Loungewear (with pockets)...pajamas. I wouldn't call that "clothing." One always needs more jammies, right?Yeah, these were more like pajamas. The gods are telling me I don't need any more clothing.
Wise decision, imo. I’m so cautious after dark.Since I've decided to stop going down in the middle of the night,
I shampoo my hair weekly, at most. Usually just put some Dove conditioner in it and rinse while showering, then lightly towel dry it. I rub rub a small amount of Caviar Creme or similar leave-in conditioner in it to keep it from frizzing, blow dry the bangs for about 30 seconds and let the rest dry naturally.I would love to let my hair dry naturally and wave but I haven't found the exact right product to get nice wave without frizz.
