I just had my anual physical check-up. I specifically requested from my personal physician "The high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) test" that checks the level of inflammation in the body, because inflammation is the root cause of so many problems (although some are actually healthy.) My healthcare provider Kaiser (kp.org) says I should be lower than 7.4, but I am actually lower than 1. I am proud of this result.
"The high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) test ... measures general levels of inflammation in your body. The hs-CRP can be used to find the risk for heart disease and stroke in people who don't already have heart disease."

My orthopedic surgeon told me that, health-wise, I am in the top 10% of guys at my age. Well, sticking with the Mediterranean diet, walking daily 1 1/2 hours with my dogs, using my mini-gym daily, and just trying to be sensible keeps me going. Getting close to 89, I got my driving license renewed to my 93rd birthday, and I am doing everything in my power to make it to 100 being mentally and physically reasonably healthy.
I have a family, but hiking with my buddies keeps me physically healthy (San Bernardino Mountains are about 11,500 feet high)
I am also using daily my mini gym from where I can watch TV, and about two dozen nutritional supplements as an insurance that
my body gets what it needs. The body is a chemical factory, and at my age it's no longer very efficient. So, I'm giving it some support
