Nice looking bikes! My exercise bike arrived today, and my husband put it together for me.
I really like it !
My legs are definitely NOT in shape for this exercise, and I took several breaks as I was riding it today for the first time. I rode for 20 minutes, went about 3.5 miles, so overall not bad.
I have the setting at level 2, which is almost as low as it goes. Level 1 has no resistance at all, and I will stay at level 2 until I can ride at least a half hour all on one try, and not have my legs all turned to jelly afterwards.
We didn’t swim today, because more thunderstorms, plus we did not want to miss the UPS man when he brought the exercise bike. My goal is to be able to ride long enough and get a 3-wheeler adult trike and be able to ride on the roads around our neighborhood , with my dog, Marco Poodle in the basket.
I am thinking that if I practice this winter, by spring, i should be toned up enough to try riding a real bike/trike.
When I started exercising, 3 or 4 years back, I started on a bicycle. A mountain bike. At that point I was more than 100 lbs heavier than I am now and could just ride it around the house 4 or 5 times. I was surprised how quickly I improved. When it started to snow I switched to the recumbent bike, at the gym. Its good also.
Stick with it and I think you will do as well, or better than I did. I believe doing it and keeping your legs moving is more important than resistance. Let us know how it goes.
