I purposely waited until it was almost daylight...I mean it was not dark. I wouldn't have gone out in the dark even though I feel somewhat safe in my neighborhood. Since it's the holiday season and school is out, there was no traffic and hardly anyone out and about.

I consider myself to be "computer dysfunctional". I get my tablets from Amazon and they make things pretty easy for me.

I've spent the last few hours setting up accounts for credit monitoring. So far, we have received 4 letters (from different places) letting us know that our personal information may have been hacked. 😲

Each of these places offer free credit monitoring for one year with a major service....just sign up. Easier said than done! So far, 3 are in my name, and one in Dio's name, and we are expecting at least one more in his name. I made the sign up harder than it should have been, because I wanted any notifications to go to the same email address.....can't do that! So I ended up going back and forth, changing email addresses and/or passwords, and having to start all over several times.

I sure am glad that it's done.....until we get the next notification, anyway!!! 😡

At least I get to go to the roller rink tomorrow.....that will be a good day!

Today is one of my favorite days of the year...the last equity market trading day. So I'm taking stock (pardon the pun) of the number of shares and values of my investments and savings. I also entered the last of the year end dividends and capital gains on a self tallying investment spreadsheet.

I didn't do much else besides nap, watch TV, load & run the dishwasher and play games on my phone. Oh...I did play with Deja a bit so she could run, jump and hide. 😺
 
Good morning, Invisipeeps. It's not as cold as predicted. That's a good thing. However...it'll be a big surprise if the high temp today gets to 45. That's not a good thing :(

Yesterday felt like Saturday. Today feels like Sunday. I'm not gonna be happy when I get up tomorrow because it'll still be Sunday.

Time to get my bony self together and get going. Another day, another dollar.

well the good thing is, that whenever there's rain the seabirds are out.. so you'll get to see plenty..,
 
Good morning peoples.. it's another miserable day... grey and wet..*sigh*... I waited all morning to go out, because the forecast said it would be dry by late morning, but it isn't so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go out anyway otherwise I'm not going to get milk, and bread ...because the one day new year closing will cause people to buy up a months; worth.,,:eek:
 
I made a special trip to the grocery store to return bottles only to find the bottle return room closed. I asked a clerk what time it opened and she said 8 am (they used to open at 7 am), so I had to wait around a half an hour. Then I went back to the bottle room and the doors still wouldn't open. I fetched another clerk and she had to do some manipulation (it took about 5 minutes). Finally the doors slid apart, but both plastic bottle machines were out of order. The clerk attempted to fix one to no avail. I suggested she fix the other one , but she said it was broken (DUH!). What a wasted morning.
At least I was able to get gas for the old paint shaker and used the coupon for $10 I received as a gift. That bought a third of a tank!
 
Morning folks....beautiful start out side, 30 deg but sunny!!!!
No big plans for the day, yet, I see our local hospital is still
in crisis mode over computer hackers!!! Still sending some patients to other hospitals.....I spoke to soon yesterday about getting medical bills taken care of, cause I received a monster bill from hospital yest afternoon, so will call them this week...
Getting ready to do bacon n eggs so get ur plates out !!!!
my rash is flaring nicely last couple days, woweee...anyway take care all !!!!o_O

I got lost when Christmas fell on a Monday. C-Eve felt like a Saturday night and C-Day like a Sunday. My internal calendar was messed up all week.

Last night the two big (11-8) grandkids spent the night. Had a great time watching "Klaus" on Netflix. None of us had seen it. I'm here to tell you, unlike most of the Christmas movie pabulum being dished out these days, this one was well worth the two hours we spent watching it.

It started raining overnight and should be done in an hour or two. (RAIN! Yippee!!!) This afternoon, 2 year old GS comes to spend the night - and I expect DD & DSIL (parents of the older kids) will linger to have some time with the little one. Maybe DS & DDIL, too. Might have to figure out something interesting for dinner for the crew.

I'm pizza-ed out at the moment and not up for complicated cooking.
 
I'm back.. my back is killing me..I have to tell you, even if you don't wanna hear it... :D... over 4 solid hours of shopping and driving.. and everywhere is MOBBED I tell ya.. because not only is it Saturday, not only is it just before New Year, it's also SALES..


I got a cuppa tea and a scone in M&S and bumped into an old workmate so we had a little chat which was nice..

Returned the silk shirt, and got a refund, but annoyingly they wouldn't take the jacket back because I bought it in their outlet store.. same store.. M&S ...but one is a regular store, the other sells end of range lines.. so the outlet store was another 20 miles from where I was so I didn't bother.. I might get it back some time next week , if I can..

Went to Dunelm ( home furnishing shop, for those who don't know) they have their sale on of course.. mobbed.. shelves stripped.. but I went their specifically for a Doormat for the back door... and altho' they have it online they didn't have it in store.!

I did buy a Tall table lamp,.. Glass mirrored wall hanging... and a white framed picture of a place in Greece...

Then.. I got to the supermarket finally and got all I went for.. surprised because again it was packed out, and it was already getting dark.. but for once it seems that the supermarket had planned for the holidays..

Drove home just as it was almost dark on the motorway and then 8 miles through unlit darkening flooded woodland roads... *knackered* now... 🥴
