A flower a day ...


I like them too and I think this has got to be the best way to grow them. In my first attempt last year I found they looked silly growing in formal setting but here is the one I grew and the way it was displayed in the Lakeside gardens.

I liked this other one too but not sorry to have grown just one as a trial.



I will be on the lookout for other places in the garden where I can grow some.

Nice color! Not the same color but I also liked the flower stalk of this bromeliad.

The plant grew for many years before blooming in 2020. The flowering lasted for months and I think I enjoyed the early stages before the first individual flower opened just as much as when it was further along.
