Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

@OneEyedDiva I watched a few episodes of "Brilliant Minds". Not sure I will continue to watch it either.

I watched the 3rd season of Bridgerton. I liked it.

Yesterday, I tried "Found'. Not sure I will continue to watch this either. It is a little bit out there.

I also tried "The Irrational' on Peacock. I really like that one.

Tomorrow CBS will be showing "Matlock'" series with Kathy Bates at 9.00PM followed by Elsbeth at 10.00PM. (Season 2). I cannot wait to watch those two series. I love Kathy Bates.
I'm glad you enjoyed Bridgerton and The Irrational. I'm so glad that adorable Jesse L. Martin is now playing a lead character. I watched him in Eli Stone and The Flash. Found is intense, I like all the characters and what the show stands for. There have indeed been many people of color or who don't come from means whose disappearances have been all but ignored.

I was never into Mark-Paul Gosselaar when he was a teen starring in the wildly popular Saved By the Bell, but got into him when he played the rescuerer and protector of a young girl in the SciFi-Horror series The Passage. He also has a part in Will Trent, a favorite of mine. Now with him playing Sir on Found, it has helped Found become one of my favorite shows.

Some friends on Facebook have indicated that Matlock is a good show. I've been intending to watch it but my TV place is quite full. I do want to check it out though. I watched some episodes of the original whenever I caught them.

I'm a YouTube devotee. I watch lots of old films, especially the Film Noir genre circa 1940-65. I also watch the old horror genre films with Lugosi and Karloff.

The old films are much like watching a play since the camera stays on the actors more so than in today's films. Nothing like watching good actors act instead of all that camera panning all over the place. It gives me a headache. In the old films, people had more class. Even the thugs were well-dressed and more intelligent.

@OneEyedDiva I will go back to "Found".
Right now they are so many good shows. I am pleased about that but I need to prioritize my viewing because my list of shows is too long!
I understand...believe me. I have several different streaming services and several shows and movies on my watchlists in each one. It doesn't help that new ones premiered that I like and many of my favorites returned over the past month. A friend of mine and I joke that keeping up with these shows is like having a full time job. 😅 But I rarely just sit and watch TV. I mostly watch while I'm eating (bad idea) and maybe for a little while after I finish or before I go to sleep. I'd love to spend a day or two a week just sitting and watching my shows.

I'm really enjoying the nonstop playlists on Disney+. It gives me a chance to sample shows without feeling like I have to start at the beginning to see if I like it.

On the real life channel, I found a show from National Geographic called Restaurants at the End of the World. It stars Kristen Kish who won Top Chef some years ago. She was a model before Top Chef. She owns her own restaurant. On the show, she goes to extremely remote places where people have restaurants (but limited cooking equipment) and cooks with them. The scenery on the show is so beautiful. I'll be watching more of that show when I want to relax. It's beautiful with good food and seems relaxing (at least the first episode was).

Restaurants at the End of the World is on Disney+ and Hulu in the US.

I'm also doing a rewatch of Elementary (Hulu) and enjoying it. I'm tempted to rewatch Eli Stone (Hulu) again but that's a lot of rewatching.

Aftermath, which follows the Copeland family (parents Karen and Joshua, and their children Dana, Brianna and Matt) as they battle for survival when civilization comes to an apocalyptic end, triggered by massive storms, meteor strikes, earthquakes, a plague – and the rise of supernatural creatures.
Wild "end of days" ride.

The Roku Channel.

I finally caved in and subscribed to Apple TV for the first time. I had heard a lot of good things about "For All Mankind" and am in the middle of watching it now. For those who do not know, it is an alternative history show in which the USSR is the first country to put a man on the moon. That speeds up the US effort to put a man on the moon. One of the main twists is on the second mission the Soviets send a woman to the moon. That changes a few things in the US including a social change. Ronald D Moore is the executive producer and I have enjoyed his work in the past including his writing for a couple of Star Trek Next Generation episodes.

I do like the premise of the show but sometimes I think the story slows down some. Overall though I am enjoying though I am a sucker for alternative story themes. The acting and the production is first class in my opinion. Some of the scenes on the moon makes me feel as though I am there. I don't know how realistic the scenes are but they look convincing to me.

Ok, "Aftermath" is a little goofy, now I know why. One more Canadian Fauxmerican production.

So a bit on the unintentionally campy side but only 13 episodes so it is probably bingeable by Halloween. Lots of spooky bits despite characters who often don't seem like real people. The wacky feminist spiritual academic is hard to swallow but the rest are bearable aside from some cartoony military types. The teens here are pretty plastic, but again consider the source.

Why not skip the awkward pretense and just play Canadians in Canadian settings?

Sounds pretty woke. I see it was cancelled after one season.

America’s Funniest Home Videos, a binge watch of my wife. She loves it, but for me, just a bunch of supposedly funny prat falls. Although I admit to finding some worth a smile. My favorite was a family out in a field armed with a bag of treats. They would put a treat at the entrance to a gopher hole. Out a gopher would shoot, grab the treat and vanish down the hole — until he flew past the treat, grabbed their bag of treats and disappeared down another hole about 30 feet away. I still smile when I think about it.

It wasn't terrible like something off The CW. Much better despite the awkward role reversal of the parents, but Anne Heche, whatcha gonna do?

But about halfway through both writing and directing picked up and with experience the child actors got less wooden.

I'd now move from suggesting it to recommending it. I think it's far better than we're getting any more.

Too spooky for many though, especially anyone deeply superstitious.

I'm not sure, was it cancelled? I'm nearly done now and the story seems to have run its course without rushing.

Just finished up Season 3 of Lincoln Lawyer. By the end I liked how they quit portraying Lorna as a ditzy blonde.

With streaming we get our fix of a show quickly and then it takes at least 1.5 years to return. There’s something to be said for regular season TV.

We watched 4 seasons of Berlin Babylon (Babylon Berlin?) which was good but intense. Then we watched Lessons in Chemistry on Apple, very different but very good. Just started Bad Monkey on Apple, and enjoyed the first episode.

I'm also not a fan of 'all at once' series dumps. I tend to space those out the best I can, two eps a day max. I am a fan though of the overall 6 to 12 total episode counts for any series, am not a fan of the old 22-26 episode seasons. Short seasons make room for other offerings, diversity.

I never miss an episode of Jeopardy. I am a former fan of Blue Bloods, but began to lose interest as time went on. Now that it has begun to approach its demise I am watching the final episodes. Being a northern Californian I never miss a 49er game.

From Wikipedia:

"Aftermath is a Canadian science fiction drama television series. ... On January 12, 2017, Syfy and Space canceled the show after one season.

Heche was a sad case. I doubt that I'd enjoy anything that she was in, although one never knows....
