Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I ‘was’ streaming one tree hill for a while but the novelty died off all of a sudden. A new show I’d like to stream is Dr. Odyssey but it hasn’t been on the air long enough. It’s a new series. The husband doesn’t like it. He claims it’s a chick flick.

Finished up Aftermath.

I was wrong. It seemed to proceed toward an adequate conclusion... then took a turn setting up more story and abruptly stopped on a cliffhanger! I'm not even certain the season was complete.

Wild "end of days" ride.

The Roku Channel.
YouTube is now doing this annoying thing when I try to access it using the Brave browser private window, which I always use for this forum. "Sign in to prove you are not a bot". Went to YT via my account and found there are a few Aftermaths, including one for 2024. The ones with Anne Heche are very short.

I thought I had seen the one you posted, but I'm not recognizing scenes from the trailers. Since I'm into B movies and series, campy or not, I'm going to check it out. Thanks D. :)

I get that message on YT when I have my VPN engaged. YouTube (Google) insists that they be able to track you.

The Lincoln Lawyer - series 3 (2024)

I was happy to see that a new season was up for viewing. I'm a huge Michael Connelly fan, having read mostly all his Harry Bosch novels, and all of the Mickey Haller books. The first 2 seasons were pretty well done.

Unfortunately this season was mostly mediocre. I blame it on too many changes from Connelly's book The Gods of Guilt (2013), and also the "woking" up of the story. Too many characters shoe-horned into existing stories for unknown reasons, including the fabrication of a biracial gay sub-story that had it been heterosexual, it would have been too hackneyed and trite to portray.

Still the series was watchable and well acted. The ending, which broadcasts a 4th season was taken from the start of Connelly's The Law of Innocence. Fingers crossed on the next one....

I really hate it when that happens. I could swear I saw something similar even with a similar title but I'm not remembering any of the scenes so it wasn't this Aftermath. Also it seems the mother in the other one was a little bit older. It's keeping me interested. I was surprised to see how many episodes there are, even though back then I don't think they'd started that 8 and 10 episodes a season trend. I'll watch it to the end, despite the fact that I'll be left hanging. It won't be the first time and probably won't be the last.

Started The Diplomat, season 2. (The one with Keri Russell). I should have re-watched season 1 to refresh my memory. Netflix wanted the usual 8 episodes. The producer/writer said no, six told what they wanted to say.

I thought he was great in Firefly.
So did I.

For some reason I can't even start "Castle" though. I can't explain it. Something puts me off immediately, even when considering watching it.

I get a weird feeling that Fillion became incredibly self-important and smarmy. Sort of like the characters portrayed by Bruce Campbell but with Fillion it's no affectation or role trait, but the actor himself. Perhaps that came from his interviews and award show appearances?

Completed season 2 of The Diplomat. Can hardly wait for season 3.
I might check it out based on your recommendation. I enjoyed Keri Russell in The Americans (2013-2018), although I thought she was a medium weight actress. I'm also leery of any more Middle Eastern plots, which have become somewhat hackneyed. In fact I almost bailed on The Old Man (Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow) for that reason.

Still, I'm always on the hunt for a good series...

I know what you mean about Fillon. I enjoyed Firefly, but it was mostly because of its freedom philosophy. I think he is a little smarmy-- somewhat like Roger Moore was: almost beta male-ish. And I checked. He evidently likes girls...😄

I hope you enjoy it. Season 2 is only 6 episodes, because the author said that’s all it needed. I wish more series would get rid of all the filler just to make Netflix happy.

I would like to watch The Americans. There’s a fee, so I’ll wait until it’s free.

I watch a lot of shows on YouTube. I enjoy Bondi Beach which follows the daily lives and routines of professional lifeguards. I also enjoy 60 Minutes Australia. There is something for everyone on YouTube.

I like the movies vs. series on Netflix. I did see Baby Reindeer which was bizarre. I loved Toscana on Netflix which takes place in Italy.

I loved the series Outlander on Netflix but there was such a big gap in between seasons to be released, that i lost interest.
I loved the series Crash Landing on You on Netflix, which was about North Korea; a little far-fetched but cute story. It has subtitles tho and people don't enjoy that.

I am watching Rings of Power on Amazon Prime video. It's good, not great, but I enjoy it.

I also cancelled my HULU subscription this week. I have been unhappy with the commercials. Too many, too often, and the seem to love to repeat the same commercials many times in a one hour show. It drives me nuts. If I pay money for a streaming service, I do not think I should have to also view anywhere near this many commercials.

FWIW, Prime also has commercials, but not as many. But, they are getting close to the limit.

The Killing on Hulu.
captivating , another who dun it, 4 individual stories with the same detectives trying to solve them

eta: yes, there were lots of commercials

Generation Z
When an army truck crashes outside a care home and infects the residents, four teenage friends must deal with the deadly consequences while also coping with their family and relationship problems.…

A bit of all star cast….and much of it filmed in my town,Cwmbran.
Including on my estate.
So I was always going to watch this.
Won’t be everyones cup of tea but I quite enjoyed it.
On the C4 app and C4 catch up service if you have SKY.
Should turn up outside the UK in due course.

Thanks for the reminder! I keep thinking I must watch this. :)

I have just watched the last episode…and had great fun identifying locations where they filmed last Autumn.
Somehow I didn’t stumble across any of the filming!
It sounds like something I will like.

Actually, last summer there was something being filmed nearby and I had no idea until someone else mentioned it. I still don't know what it was but, I was a bit peeved as I would have been down there with my camera had I known :)
